Role Summary

The WordPress Web Developer & Designer is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing Muvr’s WordPress websites and landing pages with a strong focus on performance, usability, and conversion. This role blends front-end development and visual design, working closely with Content, SEO, Growth, and Product teams to deliver scalable, on-brand web experiences. The role reports to the Website & SEO Lead and partners cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development

• Build, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and templates.
• Develop responsive, high-performance pages using WordPress best practices.
• Implement custom functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Manage plugins, updates, and site stability.
  

Web Design & UX

• Design visually clean, conversion-focused layouts aligned with Muvr’s brand.
• Translate design concepts into functional WordPress pages.
• Ensure mobile-first, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.
  

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize site speed, Core Web Vitals, and overall performance.
• Ensure SEO-friendly page structure and clean code.
• Support CRO initiatives through layout and UX improvements.
  

Quality Control & Maintenance

• Conduct regular website audits for bugs, broken links, and UX issues.
• Ensure consistency across pages and templates.
• Maintain documentation for themes, components, and workflows.
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Content and SEO teams to implement content updates efficiently.
• Partner with Growth and Product teams to support campaign and feature launches.
• Act as the WordPress subject-matter expert internally.

Qualifications

Required

• 2–5+ years of experience as a WordPress developer and/or web designer.
• Strong proficiency in WordPress, HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
• Experience building responsive, performance-optimized websites.
• Solid understanding of UX, accessibility, and web best practices.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  

Preferred

• Experience with custom themes, child themes, or page builders.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and Core Web Vitals.
• Experience working with growth or conversion-focused teams.
