Role overview
The Training Specialist (Learning & Development) is responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving training programs that enable employees, support teams, and operators to perform at a high level. This role focuses on onboarding, upskilling, and ongoing enablement—ensuring teams are prepared for launches, process changes, and growth.
This role reports to HR, People Operations, or Operations leadership and partners closely with Ops, Support, QA, and Product.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver training programs for onboarding, role readiness, and ongoing development.
- Create structured learning paths for frontline, operational, and corporate roles.
- Support new launches, tools, and process changes with targeted training.
Content & Curriculum Development
- Develop training materials including guides, decks, videos, and knowledge base content.
- Ensure training content is clear, practical, and role-specific.
- Maintain and update training documentation as processes evolve.
Enablement & Adoption
- Partner with Ops, Support, and QA to ensure training aligns with real-world workflows.
- Drive adoption of new processes and tools through effective enablement.
- Support coaching and reinforcement programs post-training.
Measurement & Effectiveness
- Define success metrics for training programs.
- Measure impact on performance, quality, and productivity.
- Iterate training based on feedback, QA insights, and performance data.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with Product on training related to new features or tools.
- Partner with People and Ops on role readiness and capability gaps.
- Support managers with training resources and reinforcement plans.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–6+ years of experience in training, L&D, enablement, or operations roles.
- Experience designing and delivering training programs.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and instructional design skills.
- Ability to translate complex processes into clear learning content.
- Comfort working in fast-paced, changing environments.
Preferred
- Experience in marketplaces, logistics, or customer support environments.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and L&D frameworks.
- Experience supporting frontline or distributed teams.
