Role Overview
We are seeking a Backend Developer skilled in GoLang and Node.js to help build and scale Muvr’s real-time logistics, commerce, and automation infrastructure. You will architect APIs, microservices, and data systems that power our marketplace across moves, deliveries, and junk removal — ensuring reliability, performance, and seamless integrations between customers, providers, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices in GoLang and Node.js (TypeScript).
- Develop and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs for real-time operations, including booking, routing, pricing, and payments.
- Implement high-throughput event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
- Integrate and manage databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis) for transactional and analytical workloads.
- Collaborate with AI/ML pipelines to deliver intelligent automation (matching, pricing, risk detection).
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines: CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and observability.
- Implement security and compliance best practices, ensuring data integrity and privacy under GDPR/CCPA.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint planning to maintain engineering excellence.
- Work closely with frontend, product, and ops teams to deliver new features and fix production issues.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of backend development experience in GoLang and Node.js (Express / NestJS).
- Experience building and maintaining microservices architectures with API gateways.
- Strong proficiency with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
- Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS).
- Understanding of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with testing frameworks (Go test, Jest, Mocha).
- Solid knowledge of authentication/authorization systems (JWT, OAuth2).
- Experience with monitoring and logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
- Familiarity with event-sourcing and CQRS patterns.
- Knowledge of gRPC, WebSockets, or serverless functions.
- Exposure to AI/ML integration and data-driven automation systems.
- Previous work in marketplace, logistics, or delivery-as-a-service products.
Key Traits
- Systems thinker with a product mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ownership-driven and adaptable to fast-changing priorities.
- Collaborative communicator across technical and non-technical teams.
